LAMPSHADE SIZE GUIDE

CHOOSING THE PERFECT LAMP BASE
Choosing the perfect pairing can be a little difficult with so many options out there to choose from. Here are some tips we recommend to guide you.

For Table Lampshades try and match the width (diameter) of the shade to the height of the lamp base. To get the height of the base, measure from the base to just below the bulb holder. This will give you a more proportioned look, as you don't want to dwarf your base with the shade. Plus a shade that is too small for the base will look a bit odd.

Of course, there are exceptions where you can use a narrower base for the shades.

Floor Lampshades are often tall and narrow to support the bigger round drum lampshades. We recommend for floor lampshades at least our 35 cm (D) or 40cm(D) shades. Just be conscious of the furniture around your floor lampshade to ensure it fits snug.

Ceiling Lampshades usually suit the larger shades such as our 30cm (D), 35cm (D) and 40cm (D). Just be very mindful of the height of your ceiling, compared to the height of the shade. If your ceiling is quite low, then we recommend a 20cm (H) shade. If they are quite high, then 25cm (H) will work.
